Personal Training at The Marker Hotel 

Following the introduction of our health and wellbeing concept ‘The Marker Equilibrium, it’s all about ME’ throughout the hotel in summer 2015, we are delighted to announce that we will be adding to this concept in 2016 by partnering with No. 17 Personal Training for one to one training sessions at our Spa & Wellness.

With 15 years’ experience in the fitness industry, John Belton - owner of No. 17 Personal Training is regarded as one of Ireland’s most sought after personal trainers and will be offering tailored one to one training sessions in our state-of-the-art gym.

John’s background in fitness is exceptionally diverse, from his original NCEF level 2 personal trainer qualifications, to a highly respected Opex level 1 certificate, numerous CrossFit certifications, and kettlebell certs to traditional Chinese medicine and dry needling qualifications. John also manages corporate wellness programs for a number of large companies all over Ireland lecturing on nutrition, stress management and wellness. John is now working with James Fitzgerald from Optimal Performance Training in Arizona, both remotely and on-site to further develop his training methods and techniques.

Our beautiful Spa & Wellness facilities such as our 23 metre infinity pool, eucalyptus infused steam room, sauna and large Jacuzzi will be available both pre and post workout, allowing you to fully rest, recover and gain even more from your workout. For those looking for a little bit more pampering and relaxation post workout, our Spa & Wellness offers gorgeous Equilibrium treatments such as Lomi Lomi which is renowned for its balance restoring principles and focuses on the alignment of the heart, mind, body and soul. Other treatments from our Equilibrium menu include reflexology which aids to establish a healthy flow of energy within the body and to encourage your body’s own natural healing system, Spirulina wrap which imparts essential vitamins, minerals and protein to nourish and revitalise the body and our Glacial Lava Shell treatment which uses 100% natural ingredients that are beneficial to the entire system.
