One thing all kids love is to spend time outdoors and at The Marker, we’ve decided to bring the fun of the outdoors into our luxurious guestrooms with our handmade Irish teepees. A complimentary enhancement to our suite categories, our teepees are large enough to sleep two kids and are fitted with fluffy pillows, blankets and a torch, the perfect starter pack for any little adventurer. Once the kids have settled in and snuggled up into their own camping wonderland, our Kid’s Concierge will deliver a fun night time turndown of cookies and milk and a bedtime story from Irish author and illustrator Peter Donnelly. Our team at The Marker know how hard it can be to feed little ones, which is why our Children’s menu served throughout the hotel, comes in an entertaining fun pack laden with activities and colouring to keep busy ones satisfied with special Easter-themed menu in our Brasserie on Sunday. Featuring produce from the land and sea, all of our dishes on our children’s menus use local, Irish produce and are paired with a selection of vegetable sticks and dips to keep the little ones going throughout the day. Our culinary team are parents too and are experienced in creating dishes for even the pickiest of eaters. If you have any specific requirements, dietary or otherwise, just let us know!
Wrapped up in our children’s robes, burn off some of the Easter excitement with a swim in our 23-metre infinity pool. Located on the Mezzanine level of the hotel, our Spa & Wellness team have allocated kid’s swim times to families so kids can splash about until their hearts content. With Wellness facilities such as our eucalyptus-infused steam room, sauna and a large Jacuzzi, parents can take turn in minding the kids and take some time out for themselves.

A Docklands Egg-Venture!
Not that we need an excuse to indulge in more chocolate, but during the Easter break, our team will be putting on a chocolate show like no other. After feasting on our full buffet breakfast in our Brasserie, our Kid’s Concierge will be leading the little ones on an Easter egg hunt through the hotel. Simply register your little one with our Kid’s Concierge at our front desk at 11am on Easter Sunday, grab a map and off you go. The chocolate fun won’t stop there though. Our pastry team have been hard at work assisting the Easter bunny in creating mini chocolate eggs for all of our guests in the hotel, they even found time to create our own Easter display which will be available to view in our lobby area.
With tummies full of delicious Easter treats, take time to explore the wider Docklands area with one of our free walking tours, the perfect remedy to decrease those sugar levels. The Docklands itself is a vibrant, exciting and truly historic area with stories hidden in every nook and cranny. Immerse the family in the stories of old and new with local hotspots and hidden gems such as the Design Tower, Lir Theatre, Grand Canal Square, Diving Bell, Monuments on the Quays, Jeanie Johnson, EPIC Ireland and more. This tour lasts approximately one hour with all stops close to the hotel should little ones need a rest.

Fitted with a trailer on the back of the bike and our convenient picnic backpack, families can choose to dine wherever they want whether it’s Grand Canal Square, in the park, on the beach or in the mountains. Perfectly packed for your adventure, our picnic backpack is complete with a rug, cutlery and wine cooler.
Family staycations are great, but can certainly take their toll on the parents! With this in mind, our team have laid out some must see and dos for the engines that keep the family going – the parents.
Escape for a little downtime just steps away from the clouds with a yoga class on our Rooftop on selected days. If running is more your style, join our Run Concierge team on one of their morning runs. With routes through the city, along the beach and back to The Marker, our team will customise the route to guest’s capabilities and needs. Bottles of water and fruit will available for runners until 9am when they return to The Marker. To join our Run Concierge, express your interest with our team on booking to guarantee your place. Following on from our Marker Equilibrium concept, guests can also enjoy a healthy menu of breakfast bites such as our paleo amazeballs, fruit skewers and protein shake shots in our Brasserie or delivered straight to your room post-yoga or run.
