Seen by over 120 million people, the world-famous musical Les Misérables (Les Mis) is coming back again to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in August.

The cheese board is served with a Sourdough Baguette, Pear & Raisin Chutney, Rye Lavosh, Candied Pecans and two glasses of Pinot Noir, Les Argelieres, Languedoc, France, 2016. Book NowThe international award-winning musical takes place in early 19th Century France and tells the story of Jean Valjean, a French peasant who finds himself in a lifelong struggle for redemption and absolution. After wrongfully serving 19 years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread for his starving family, Jean is released on parole. In hopes to start a new life and encouraged by a saintly bishop’s grace, love and generosity, Jean breaks his parole by changing his identity.
He eventually becomes the owner of a factory, mayor of a small town and agrees to adopt a factory worker’s daughter, but is also relentlessly tracked down by the dogged police inspector Javert who refuses to believe that a criminal can ever truly reform. Together with his daughter, Jean travels across France until they find themselves in Paris during the French revolution.
